Comsen commenced manufacturing powerheads over 30 years ago in the Australian market under the name of Moulded Products International (MPI). MPI was a trading name for Colonial Federation Constructions. When the well established MPI brand was put up for sale by Greg Freeman five years ago, Scott McQuie bought it out.

Just like MPI, Scott has over 30 years electrical industry experience. What Scott saw was the opportunity to utilise his electrical contracting business experience to grow the business from supplying just powerheads to manufacturing service pillars. Scott has evolved the name from MPI to Comsen Powerheads to Comsen. Scott and his Comsen team now custom make Service Pillars to provide power, light, water, television, phone, and internet access solutions for caravan parks and marinas.

Scott opened his South East Queensland based commercial and industrial electrical contracting business over 18 years ago. Scott and his McQ team today are highly respected and sought after in providing qualified advice and all aspects of electrical industry services to industrial and commercial projects for the building industry. Additionally Scott now uses his business management and practical knowledge of leading edge electrical technologies to lead, direct and develop Comsen.

A significant change to the Comsen business model was made when Scott focussed on bringing all MPI manufacturing moulds and production systems onshore to Australia.
