Scott McQuie – Director

Scott has over 30 years electrical industry experience gained from commencing as an Electrical Filler Mechanic with Brisbane City Council, SEQEB and Energex in Queensland. Valuable expertise was gained working with inspections, power supply, industry network supplies, overhead lines, underground power, high rise power maintenance and house conversions from overhead to underground supply.

Scott opened his South East Queensland based commercial and industrial electrical contracting business over 18 years ago. Scott and his McQ team are highly respected and sought after in providing qualified advice and all aspects of electrical industry services to industrial and commercial projects for the building industry.

Scott has a practical knowledge of electrical technologies that are leading edge and evolving in today’s fast moving environment. When the well established Moulded Products International (MPI) was put up for sale by Greg Freeman five years ago Scott saw the opportunity to utilises his experience to expand into the Service Pillar industries. MPI has evolved into Comsen which is now a leading supplier of Service pillars to the Marine and Caravan Park industries across Australia. Scott proactively works with his Comsen team to ensure that research and development stays ahead of market demand.

Eero Laukkonen – Manager

Eero gained more than 10 years experience in costumer service when running his business. Alongside the important accounting and book keeping disciplines Eero became familiar with all aspects of managing a business.

Before commencing his role as the Manager of Comsen in September 2007, Eero worked 8 years for a major manufacturing company where his role commenced as Supervisor until promotion to Factory Manager. He was voted by other staff members as “Employee of the year”.

Experience gained in dealing with a wide range of manufacturing companies has enabled Eero to bring design and manufacturing experience to Comsen. Eero also has an electricians back ground and practical knowledge of powerhead products which assists with customer enquiries. Phil Burchell – Factory Supervisor

Phill has more than 18 years of experience in manufacturing to his role of Factory Supervisor, Assembler and Stock Controller at Comsen. Most of those years were spent in the field of Wood Machinist. Phil has extensive experience operating various forms of wood working machinery, most notably, CNC routing and cutting machines. He has also worked restoring antique furniture, had a stint at a large abattoir and has also owned his own small business.

Along with this employment history, his role as a husband and father of three daughters means he is well aware of the need for reliability, hard work and a high level of excellence. Phill’s hobbies include working on and customizing classic cars as well as automotive and motorsport photography and these pastimes help give an eye for the finer details. He is committed to supplying Comsen’s customers with a superior quality.

Lorraine Romeril-Smith – Marketing Consultant

Lorraine brings over 25 years of advertising industry and marketing experience to Comsen. Having held senior management roles with the Townsville Bulletin, Queensland Newspapers (News Ltd.), Australian Provincial Newspapers, Vogue Magazines, TMP and Adcorp, Lorraine has developed an unparalleled understanding of all facets of advertising management, creative communications management, media planning and strategic marketing development.

In her current role as General Manager for Blaze Advertising QLD and NT, Lorraine has direct and strategic involvement with a range of local, state and nationally based accounts. These accounts cover a wide range of industry sectors including Quick Smart advertising in recruitment, tourism, property, healthcare, education and finance. In addition, Lorraine has overall responsibility for the management and direction of the Queensland and NT Local Government and Northern Territory Government advertising accounts.
